AF:TR's inaugural release comes from label co-founder Monødry,
as a definite statement of this new project's approach to underground dance music. Dark, trippy, and pulsating vibes that aim for both the body and mind of the listener.
"Butterfly Effect" begins with a throbbing bassline that sets an infectious groove. Rolling hats pave the way for a swirling arp to unfold. The first breakdown nurtures the big-room feeling of the track, while a narrative melody rides the composition into a huge breakdown. Airy metallic silence leaves plenty of space for quirky noises to start building on a spooky feeling, a perfect bed for the haunting female vocal passages that resemble the actual butterfly effect, approaching in the form of a gradual filter open-up that lands into a full-on crescendo, with the reverberating melody adding the definite touch of a dance-floor destroyer.
