Created in 1989, the 'Underground' label reached the top of the charts with artists such as Anticappella. They were also responsible for licensing globally successful acts like 2 Unlimited for the Italian territory. In 1996 the label was rebranded, with the musical sound changing from 'progressive trance' to 'techno', thus becoming more of a 'sister' label to BXR. Underground became an imprint for experimental music, emerging producers and well known artists releasing under different aliases, in order to test out fresh new sounds and styles. Underground will now relaunch in 2017 in association with Media Records.
