Since 1999 Defected have been releasing tunes that have defined the scene and are now unquestionably the global authority within the genre. Plastic City works since 1993 with A&R Alex Plastic as a part of UCMG Germany. From 2001 - 2002 Babak Shayan was Junior A&R for Plastic City as well.
